In Point de Vue (issue of 24 to 30 July 2024, series “L'été dans le Grand Est”), Emmanuel Cirodde writes a profile of Nathan Chiche, photographed by Olivier Borde in Jean Prouvé's school in Vantoux, where the 24-year-old gallerist has just opened his gallery. Closed in 2014, the demountable school was transported to Nancy to be fully restored. Nathan Chiche recounts that he discovered it during an art history class, then proposed turning it into a gallery that would keep it open to the public. For the inaugural exhibition devoted to Jean-Pierre Raynaud, the classroom regained its period furniture, lent by the town hall: on the desks, faience tiles made for the 1993 Venice Biennale, depicting a Neolithic skull acquired in London, become unique pieces through the addition of schoolchildren's plastic letters and numbers. The gallerist reports that the artist finds here what a museum does not offer him.

The profile emphasises transmission: the gallery was co-founded with his mother, Patricia Chicheportiche, founder of Galerie 208 in Paris, with whom he chooses artists able to grasp the spirit of the place. It also mentions the collection of 10,000 books that he began at the age of 12. The last pages gather his addresses in Metz, from the Cathédrale Saint-Étienne to the Centre Pompidou-Metz, the Musée de La Cour d'Or and the Église Saint-Maximin, along with a bookshop, the covered market, cafés and a record shop.
