In its September-October 2024 issue, the magazine VMF (Vieilles Maisons Françaises) devotes a short item, signed S. F., to the school in Vantoux, occupied since the spring by Galerie Nathan Chiche.
It recalls that the building, erected according to the magazine in 1950 by Jean Prouvé and his brother Henri on compass-shaped portal frames, was restored in 2018 thanks to the sale of the headmaster's house, and that it has been listed as a historic monument since 2001. A witness to the demountable schools of the Reconstruction, it was not certain to be saved after the pupils left in 2014, as Prouvé's constructions remain highly sought after on the market.
