In its summer 2024 issue, the magazine Geste/s draws attention, in its “Intersections” section, to Jean-Pierre Raynaud's exhibition Alphabet pour adultes, on view at Galerie Nathan Chiche until 26 August 2024. It is a short listings entry.
The text recalls that the school designed by Jean Prouvé in Vantoux, near Metz, opened in 1951, took in pupils until 2014 and was then fully restored before the gallery moved in. It presents the artist's ceramic Neolithic skulls as objects of memory, and the photograph caption refers to his Vanités in dialogue with Prouvé's modular structures.
