2006 : Jean-Pierre Raynaud à la Galerie de l’Arsenal, à Metz

As the inauguration of Galerie Nathan Chiche by Jean-Pierre Raynaud approaches, the newspaper recalls the artist's time in Metz, when the Galerie de l'Arsenal presented his exhibition Objet Drapeau, from 23 November 2006 to 25 February 2007. The page brings together four photographs by Karim Siari and transcribes two articles from the period.
The first, signed by Emilie Perrot on 23 November 2006, announces the opening that launched the Arsenal's Nuit contemporaine and presents Raynaud as a pioneer who combines art and the object. The artist explains that, having long directed his research towards his own person, he wanted to turn to the outside world, placing small plastic ducks on flags in order to confront childhood with the gravity of these emblems.
The second, by Michel Genson, published on 26 November 2006, describes twenty-one national flags studded with celluloid ducks, extending Raynaud's work on strongly connoted signals such as road signs. The artist sees in them a toy that suspends the discourse of the flag and speaks of a message in a bottle. Apart from the introduction, the page says nothing about the gallery in Vantoux.
